An audio-first way to experience place

Echoscape is a series of location-based audio games that transform how people experience cultural heritage and public space. Instead of staring at a screen or scanning QR codes, you walk — and as you approach a historical site, a natural landmark, or a hidden corner of the city, your phone detects your position and begins to speak.

The audio unfolds like a story. Your choices shape the path. Some places reveal themselves only if you find the right route. Others layer sound upon sound until a landscape you thought you knew becomes something entirely different.

We work with museums, geoparks, and municipalities to create custom experiences rooted in local history, ecology, and culture — accessible to anyone with a smartphone, no app download required.

Walk real places

Your physical movement through the world is the interface. GPS detects where you are — no tapping, no scanning.

Audio unlocks as you approach

Ambient sounds signal you're getting close. Step into range and a deeper layer of story opens — narration, sound design, and history woven together.

Choices shape the journey

Some experiences offer branching paths. The route you walk, the decisions you make — these determine which stories you hear.

Current experiences

We currently have four prototypes located in Skara, Skövde, and two sites near Tidan (Askeberga Stoneship and Vaholms Brohus). Each experience is designed for on-site use. For the best experience, visit the location in person. Open on your phone, allow location access, and start walking.
